Mental Health First Aid
Introduction
Please note that this course is delivered at our own training venue in Basingstoke, Hampshire. However, should you wish to book this course dedicated to you and your colleagues, we are able to deliver it at a venue of your choice.
Aims
This internationally recognised course is certified by the Department of Health. As its name suggests, provides a First Aid approach to Mental Health. It aims to provide delegates with the understanding and skills to:
- spot early signs of mental distress
- provide initial comfort and support to someone experiencing mental distress
- guide a person towards professional help
This course is interactive; it aims for participants to discuss, acknowledge and identify positive methods and skills.
Who is this course for?
Anyone can learn Mental Health First Aid - the course doesn’t require any prior knowledge of Mental Health. It is therefore suitable for people working in a wide variety of roles.
